Although I could finally solve it by fixing it via Boot Repair, I wonder why does that happen? Because I install it on SSD? Curious.

Hi, I experienced something similar with antiX-23 64-bit when installing GRUB to ESP on an UEFI-capable device.
Could you please state your version of antiX and where did you try to install the GRUB?

same issue here. antix23 64-bit runit, ESP/EFI, SSD.
I also had to run the fantastic boot repair tool to fix it.

          A.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

                  Hello,
I also saw this in the beta3 tests and noted here:

                  https://www.antixforum.com/forums/topic/antix-23-full-runit-64-bit-for-testers-only/page/14/#post-114786

Nobody responded to this post, so I thought I was doing something wrong. Hope this helps.

AK-47 found the issue and fix.

Installing the efibootmgr package in the live environment before running the installer fixed it for me.

sudo apt update && sudo apt install efibootmgr

Can you test that it works?

when I did have that issue I sorted it with the antix tool “boot repair”.
At present at home I have a working antix 23 station without any spare partition to test this issue with and so I am unable to , sorry.

I think the .iso must be fixed & release version 23.1 ?

                              re-read the announcement @aaa_to_zzz

                              http://antixlinux.com/antix-23-released/
I do not have the time nor inclination to rebuild 16 iso files.

                              Sorry.

Maybe in the next release (probably Antix-24), it would have been fixed.
