hi all – am trying to install steamCMD on antiX-21_386-core following the instructions on this page:

      https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SteamCMD#Downloading_SteamCMD

      After installing antix I do:

      sudo apt update

      sudo useradd -m steam
      sudo passwd steam

      usermod -aG sudo username

      sudo -u steam -s
      cd /home/steam

      sudo apt install steamcmd

      sudo ln -s /usr/games/steamcmd /home/steam/steamcmd

      cd ~
steamcmd [and here I get the error: : “bash: steamcmd: command not found”]

      any help appreciated

Better use your favorite search engine to query “linux command not found”. This is an issue has already been asked n answered a bazillion times. Read several answers in the search results. Learn the concepts involved, not just searching to find exactly what to type or to do THIS time, in this specific case. Afterward, be courteous and return here to post what you learned, what was the solution.

following the instructions on this page:

            https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SteamCMD#Downloading_SteamCMD

You can, and probably should, just get the steamcmd package straight from the debian repo

            sudo apt update
            sudo apt install steamcmd

Hoping this will correctly install for you.
