Hi,
I am new to Linux and new to Actix. I want to install the Zoom app if possible: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/204206269-Installing-or-updating-Zoom-on-Linux#h_75e1dc24-8db1-4b89-8db9-eb049f9b7987
Can you please let me know which installer to take?

I tried doing that to install ZOOM a couple of times, but nothing happened.
Any idea why that might be?

::Were you able to get Zoom to work? I am having the same problem you are describing.
0. Reboot the system after trying to use the packageinstaller (if you still have the same session open).
1. Once back to your desktop, open the menu and click “Terminal” to launch a terminal.
2. Execute these commands ONE AT A TIME:
2A. Execute these commands ONLY if your system is 64 bits:wget https://zoom.us/client/latest/zoom_amd64.deb sudo apt install ~/zoom_amd64.deb rm ~/zoom_amd64.deb2B. Execute these commands ONLY if your system is 32 bits:
wget https://zoom.us/client/latest/zoom_i386.deb sudo apt install ~/zoom_i386.deb rm ~/zoom_i386.deb3.Zoom should no be installed and working. Rejoice.

Hello, if you have this issue again, and the application you want to install isn’t in packageinstaller or the repositories, or if packageinstaller isn’t working, take the Debian installer. antiX 19 Buster should be Debian 10 Buster compatible.

packageinstaller isn’t working for me either. Xecure’s instructions worked, or you can download the Debian package from Zoom download center and use apt-get install to install it.

::Hi. Package Installer hasn’t seemed to work for me, too. Then I followed Xecure’s instructions for 32-bit, but a
sudo apt --fix-broken installwas needed, so as to be able to run
sudo apt install ~/zoom_i386.debsuccessfully. Finally, Zoom seems to have been installed, but only an absolutely grey window opens under the label “Zoom Cloud Meetings”. Any ideas?

::andfree, it seems the zoom packaging team has made a mistake and forgot to add the correct dependencies or got them mixed up with recommended dependencies.
Uninstall zoom first
sudo apt purge zoom
Then download it again if you already removed it:
wget https://zoom.us/client/latest/zoom_i386.deb
And install it with recommended packages
sudo apt install --install-recommends ./zoom_i386.debTest if zoom works and delete the downloaded .deb

::My method for installing Zoom version 5.3.472687.1012 on a recent 32-bit antiX VirtualBox VM build was to first install the gdebi package installer.
sudo apt install gdebiThat enabled me to right click the 32-bit Zoom download and select the “Install with gdebi” menu option. Not sure if this does anything different on the install than the “apt-get” method.
The gray box on startup issue sounds like it could be Nvidia driver related, so you might try different driver versions to see if you get some success there.
Here’s my antiX specs for reference.
