manual
I’ve been running antiX-32 on a Samsung NC10 (Atom N270 2GB RAM) for years but I’m unable to get antiX19 working on an Asus Eee PC 1025 CE (Atom N2800 4GB RAM).
The Asus has a custom BIOS that enables 64 bits.
But I think that the problem is related to the Integrated processor graphics card: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3650.
The issue is that the screen goes black with antiX19, and I’ve tried 32 and 64 versions.
I’ve tried antiX 16.3_x64 and IT WORKS (antiX 17.4.1_x64 doesn’t work).
Knowing that right now the Asus runs antiX 16.3_x64 and MX 19 64 just fine, I thought that I should be able to run the lighter antiX 19.
I’ve also tried to plug an external monitor using VGA and HDMI connectors but it doesn’t work.
I’ve made some photos to the text that shows up before the screen goes black.

Any ideas?
Thank you

::Edit. When you say custom bios. Is this one of those 32 bit bios netbooks that run 64 bit .
Linux has a problem with those/ Mentioned below
Hi,
“I can’t be 100% sure of this but I think the 100s has a 32-bit BIOS. It will be necessary to prepare 32-bit UEFI boot media.
MS makes it available but that last time I checked it will require some hand work to build a bootable Linux.”Different brand netbook though

::
The Bios has now 64 bits enabled, it is from here:I’ve used the full versions (32 and 64 bit) and tried vga=788 and vga=791, but didn’t work (it’s a 1024×600 screen).
As I said it can run without issues the 64 bit versions of antiX16, MX19 and Mint19Mate, so it should work.

::At least the problem with the asus eeepc 1025 and antiX 17 has been mentioned before.
Unfortunately no adequate solution was found.

::Seems not just Intel GMA.
Had same kind of problem on newer Sea shell EEPC with devastated installation after upgrade to Antix 19. It is not a hardware problem, this netbook has always ran on linux since purchase,
now running again..
Device Booted to Black screen after update = no console available or other way to reach any running system, no logfiles were written to internal SDD boot device.
Strangely the backup remastered stick gave same result started to boot then total crash. Maybe that had been mistakenly updated after creation.A new live stick with fresh download was set to persist all, updated then remastered. Same problem, In the end I was able to boot with an upgraded Kernel 5.2.15-antix1-amd-smp.
The device concerned has AMD E450 CPU and Radeon HD graphics, it ran better with 32 Bit Linux in the past.fyi. With AntiX 19 the Broadcom WIFI also ceased to work and I was unable to solve the issue.
Warned users with Broadcom not to upgrade. I still have no solution.
