Or to me anyway.
Here is a conky with working shutdown buttons the user is on i3 but this idea could be used on any windows manager. Even without .lua clock by replacing it with a digital clock.
shutdown button conky This reminds me a bit of deepins control panel thingy..
To me bar conky’s is the only way to go as it is all ways visible and replaces i3bar..
(Sorry if this is the wrong place to post.)

::Amazing… I can but aspire to such beauty & elegance. 😉 Have you tried using the dotfiles, @Koo?

::The concept is called “Interactive Conky” and was developed in 2012 by @mrpeachy and @falldown.
Essentially, it is based on the use of xdotool and
xwininfo to click on the desktop, whereby the respective Conky or the special function becomes visible.https://crunchbang.org/forums/viewtopic.php?id=18419

::Thanks male
Have been wondering if I could launch icons with conky but this give me another idea.
The script is a mouse over so would it be possible to have drop down or underlay panels, like say you click on cpu with more info about the cpu and so on..
Are the last two links all Sector11 work..? 2013 clock and gauges Wow

I have started to use the rofi dots from ntcarlson github, but had to change the transparent code as I could not control the transparency like getting enough color in the transparency.I also adjusted the size of the rofi and centered also made the font smaller..
My Codeconfiguration { show-icons: true; font: "DejaVu Sans 12"; } * { background-color: transparent; background: rgba ( 0, 0, 0, 95 % ); background-alt: rgba ( 51, 51, 51, 50 % ); text-color: #FFFFFF; primary: rgba ( 51, 51, 51, 85 % ); urgent: #BF616A; }ntcarlson original
configuration { show-icons: false; font: "DejaVu Sans 20"; } * { background-color: transparent; background: #2E3440CC; background-alt: #5E81AC80; text-color: #D8DEE9; primary: #A3BE8C; urgent: #BF616A; }Even with #00000090 as black was still to transparent..

::@Koo might it be an issue with the compositor? Have you tried using all/any of xcompmgr, compton and/or xfwm to see if the results vary?

Thanks for your reply it is all good I just prefer (Dec code) over (hex code) and compton is working fine..I made this from a Monokai.rasi just added 2 columns and icons etc..But might steal the search box from the one above ?

::The part of interest to me is the idea of a top or bottom of the screen horizontal conky whose purpose would be keep the important stuff on the top of the screen unless specifically overriden…
