I always have hundreds, maybe thousands of these strange entries present in dmesg output, but I didn’t care until now (other tasks were more pressing):

This is not new, it probably has started when I switched the notebook from antiX 17.4.1 to 19.3 last year. Interresting thing is: There is no issue with the network connection, eth1 is WLAN, and it connects fast and fine and the connection is most of the time rock stable. Nevertheless, I believe this unnecessary constant background activity takes some system load, which could be used in a better way…

Anybody around who knows what this is, where originates it, and how to stop it?
Or is this behaviour as designed, intended and needed and correct behaviour?

Didn’t find much useful on it searching the forum and the web.
As said before, there is (and was never) no issue with using the eth1 wlan connection, it works fine always, except for these strange log entries.

Windows is like a submarine. Open a window and serious problems will start.

You may want to try adding “ipv6.disable=1” to your boot parameters. I also added “blacklist ipv6” in /etc/modprobe.d/

        Hope that helps!
