Basically how in Windows or any popular linux DEs, when you drag a window to the right or left edge, it tiles automatically to that half of the screen. Is is possible to get this feature here in antix?

Rather than dragging you can use keys to pseudo tile in ICEWM. it is much more efficient. Info here in forum posts
or man pages. If you really want bells and whistles of a full desktop environment you will be happier with MX Linux.

Short answer to your question: as far as I know, there is no way to tile windows by dragging their edges in any of the window managers antiX includes.

Like Moddit suggested: you can you keyboard shortcuts to achieve the very thing you want [to know the keyboard shortcut to control tiling: menu > Control Center > Edit [desktop_name] settings > Keys > scroll down until you see the keyboard short cuts that manage your windows)

          OR

if you use an Icewm desktop… You can right click the title bar of a window then select the “tile” option, and select how you tant to tile that window (a bit like Windows 11 allows, but using a text menu (instead of the dumbed down drawing of the window placement)

If you are running an IceWM desktop (the default for antiX), mouse to the window you want to change, now press Alt+space. The window menu will come up. It has Maximize, Maximize Vert and Maximize Horiz options, they might or might not have keys assigned, but you could try those. Also there is a Tile submenu that allows you to reposition the window as a quadrant or half of the screen.

There are all sorts of ways to tile windows. In OpenboxI have set [Super] + arrow (up,down, left, right) to tile a window at 50% space. Here’s the code I use. Similar things are doable with xfce, etc.
