Tagged: sudo not ask password
Hello Friends
I was just wondering if this is normal.
I boot the antiX operating system installed on my hard drive.
Suppose I want to install two apps, namely abc and xyz.
If I type in terminal the following:
sudo apt install abc
I would be prompted to enter my password.
After installing abc, I then proceed to install xyz, but this time I’m no longer prompted to enter my password.
Is this normal?
Same goes for the synaptic app, I think. It asks for password. After I close it and open it again, it does not ask for password anymore.
Stupid question. Please forgive the ignorance.
Hi, it is normal in antiX.
There is a “convenient” interval (10 or 15 minutes?) when you are not asked for password again after the last successful attempt.
BTW, already asked and answered somewhere in the forum.
Sudo password is good for 15 minutes in antiX and several other distributions.
