BURNING does not work, full stop.

cdw cannot find the .iso-file and has set itself to default.
Reinstalling cdw makes no change, (terminal shows no dependencies missing).

Simpleburn is completely dead, even after reinstall, cannot find .iso-file, nor optical device.
Brasero does not work either, same as Simpleburn.

      Any suggestions, please ???
SOLVED by installing k3 burner. A MASSIVE install of over 90 MB, KDE dependencies. cdw is around 300 kB, this is ridiculos!!!

In my seven and a half years of using Linux, this has been the worst week.

I am considering moving back to Berta Cáceres,
In that case, I suppose that it is still possible to use CD with AntiX 16.2 to install ???

What files are on the ISO?

        growisofs -dvd-video -Z /dev/sr0=dvd.iso ;

For a video dvd from the same folder the ISO is in.

I recommend using xfburn which comes with antix 17 and if it doesn’t show anywhere in the menu open terminal and enter xfburn and it should come right up

ridiculos!!!” is posting to ask for help, then ignoring the responses…
and, instead, choosing to install k3burner AND grumbling about the consequence of your choice.

Actually, ‘poorguy’s’ answer came after I had installed k3 burner.
Anyhow, I should have seen it, which i didn’t, and answered to it, and I apologize to ‘poorguy’ for that !

The answer is that xfburn unfortunately is just as dead as cdw and Simpleburn.

The other answer is about video DVD’s, and I intended to burn a system iso CD. Even if the iso part is written in the text, I apologize for not mentioning it especially, as well.
I even apologize for installing AntiX, and then daring to complain, when so many programs do not work !

Hmm, I wonder if s/he checked they had a good download?

I don’t often burn disks these days, but when I have needed to, xfburn worked for me.

                Linux (& BSD) since 1999
