::Thanks for the post skidoo.
The end of an era.
I used to pop in regularly at the Puppy forums. It was a great place to get some new ideas about programs that could be used in antiX.
Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

The end of an era.

I was wondering why the “Murga”-based Puppy forums were unavailable, now I know why.
Ian Murdock (Debian) and Jon Danzig (Libranet) are a few other luminaries on the critical path of our fine distribution.
Ian was the originator of Debian, who took his life in 2015.
Jon Danzig was the founder of the excellent Canadian Debian-based distribution. I feel that it was Libranet that laid the foundation for the improved ease of use in Debian. MEPIS, the father of both antiX and MX Linux, followed and improved upon, the work of Debian and Libranet.
Each of these people – and thousands of others, both current and past, have contributed to what we appreciate today. I’m thankful for each of them, and remember them with appreciation for their work.

I also learn a lot from posts found in the murga puppy forum.
May he rest in peace.

More sad news for people close to John and the Linux community.
Difficult year this year … several people close to me also left …
I hope Puppy Linux doesn’t end, I hope other people can continue the work and not let their legacy die ..
