Good Day folks,
I am having strange behaviour by the JWM menu button on the panel:
code
<!-- Panel / Tray at the top. --> <Tray x="0" y="-0" height="22" autohide="off" opacity="0.8"> <TrayButton icon="archlinux-logo" label="Menu">root:3</TrayButton> <Spacer width="2"/> <Spacer width="2"/> <TaskList maxwidth="0" /> <Spacer width="2"/> <Pager labeled="true"/> <Spacer width="2"/> <Clock format="%H:%M:%S"> <!-- <Button mask="1" >exec:lxterminal --geometry=21x9+1060+26 -T Month -e calcurse</Button> --> <Button mask="2" >exec:lxterminal --geometry=120x32+40+25 -T Calendar -e calcurse</Button> <Button mask="3" >exec:notify-send -u low 'Calcurse Calendar' "<code>calcurse -t</code>"</Button> </Clock> <Spacer width="3"/>x <Dock/> <Spacer width="2"/> </Tray>See the attached image.
I am quite familiar with JWM and this is the first time I am seeing the Menu button .. itself?January 5, 2022 at 11:21 am #74665Forum Admin

::Which file have you edited?
Anyhow, just remove the word menu to
<TrayButton icon="archlinux-logo" label="">root:3</TrayButton>- This reply was modified 1 year, 4 months ago by anticapitalista.

::Hi Anticapitalista,
Thanks for the tip, I actually want the “Menu” word there, I can’t find a setting where the button has a set width?
A while back I uninstalled JWM and was cleaning up my home directory and wiped the .jwm folder, today I decided I wanted to play with JWM and had to manually create a config file for JWM using ~/.jwmrc .

::As far as I am aware, you can’t have both.

::If wanting to say menu. In the past. I would download a image from google images <Button that I wish> and insert it’s name where it says arch logo. Kept the icon in ~./icons.
I used to run spark plug images for menu buttons in the past.
