It looks like a new version of JWM has been released in November 2021 (ver. 2.4.0) with significant enhancements. As antiX 21 appears to be using an older release 2.3.7, JWM 2.4 would bring these new enhancements aboard antiX.
I am about to install the new JWM from Github, but my question is whether the antiX version has modifications tailored to antiX, which would mean I should rather wait for antiX team to correctly integrate JWM with antiX…
For the record – For a long time I used to use Fluxbox, then IceWM and recently moved solid to JWM as day to day desktop in addition to DWM and Herbstluftwm experimentation. Personally I found JWM as the most reliable one and rock solid in operation. This is not to say I consider IceWM inferior, but rather just the simplicity and reliability took precedence over complexity along with magically re-appearing bugs that continue to haunt…

::Just an update on testing the new JWM:
Tested all (I think) enhancements from the release notes and all appears to work fine. Having previously defined the quick launch icons on the toolbar, all works as expected. Switching desktop session to another WM preserves open apps as expected as well.
All new enhancements seem well thought out and implemented.
All in all – JWM is great for antiX and fully functional. Just as it is with IceWM, it could further benefit from a few nice and functional included themes though. Currently using SunnyDay with some modifications, the same as I used to use with IceWM…

That is an upstream change.
You have to scroll the mousewheel over a pagerhttps://joewing.net/projects/jwm/config.html#mouse

::I got it back by creating a file ~/.jwm/mouse and copied “Mouse bindings” from /etc/jwm/system.jwmrc to it.
Then I included it in ~/.jwmrc .Maybe the antiX JWM configuration needs a refurbishment…
