Yours are great. Let me tell another one, well known in Germany, here I’ve tried to translate it for you to English language. It’s about our former Chancellor Kohl, who was rumoured to speak English language very poorly, combined with an extremely slow readiness of mind.
The (former) German Federal Chancellor Helmut Kohl accompanied by his minister and friend Norbert (»Nobby«) Blüm where visiting a zoo while they paid a state visit to Australia.
Kohl, in front of a compound: “Look, Nobby, a ›Dankeruh‹.”
Blüm: “Helmut, this is a kangaroo.”
Kohl, again, in front of the next compound: “Look, Nobby, another ›Dankeruh‹.”
Blüm: “Oh no, Helmut, this is an Emu.”
This strange kind of conversation goes on in front of every single cage or compound they pass.
Finally:
Kohl, slightly unnerved: ”But this is now a Dankeruh?”
Blüm: ”Helmut, what’s wrong with you? This is a Crocodile! Have you got a sunstroke, haven’t you?“
Kohl, offended: “Why so? On the board near the entrance was written clearly: »Attention! All animals are dangerous.«”(OK, for our readers not familiar with German pronunciation I should probably add: The word »dangerous« spoken by a German speaker without knowledge of the English language will get pronounced like »kangaroos« with first letter »D« instead of »K« and first »a« pronounced like in the beginning of »artificial«, so the similarity of the phonetic value of (wrong pronounced) »dangerous« (as “Dankeruhs”) to »Känguruhs« (the German expression for kangaroos) is striking to any German native speaker. So it’s all about his ignorance concerning the real meaning of the board near the entrance… and please pronounce the last »dangerous« as described, it’s a kind of animal: the dangerou. Never seen one?)
Windows is like a submarine. Open a window and serious problems will start.

That IS a good one… I had it MOSTLY figured out – the German pronunciation was unknown to me, but brings out another dimension, making it complete. Excellent! 🙂
