I’m not asking for any help on this issue, but I thought it could be helpful to just signal it.

I installed Antix21 on an ASUS Z87 motherboard with an I5 processor with integrated graphics (full details on the system below). I was surprised to find that the computer crashed when displaying a webm video in mpv or celluloid, since the hardware is between 8 and 10 years old. The system freezes after 10 seconds or so, or immediately on resizing the video window in IceWM. Only way to recover is rebooting the computer. After uninstalling the 5.10 kernel the system works just fine in every respect on the 4.9.0 kernel.

Just one small annoyance: the system finds two sound devices (hda-intel-hdmi and hda-intel-pch. It only works with the second one but seems to produce a somewhat lower quality sound then the same hardware under Windows 10. This may be in my imagination only however since I can’t hear them next to each other.

        Dear dirkd,

You should do the test with the new kernel 5.10.142 developed by anticapitalista.

        Best regards,
        Wallon
