      After trying to update the kernel I kept getting warning messages;
      Unable to find an initial ram disk that I know how to handle. Will not try to make an initrd.
      Then I started getting another error that was showing up when started up and shutting down the computer, in red it says;
      Loading cpuferq kernel modules Fail.
      Someone was helping me on another forum and they told me to try uname -r and I got 4.10.5-antix. 1-486-smp
      Then they told me to post on here.

        Beside the Kernel version itself …

        1. First thing to do would be to post the console (‘Terminal’) output of (inxi):

        https://www.antixforum.com/forums/topic/how-to-search-for-a-solution-when-you-have-a-antix-problem/

        2. You should also post the EXACT console output with your complete error message.

          I don’t know how to copy and paste the error messages, since its on the shut down/ start up screen or on the install that closes after finishing so I can’t copy.

                Don’t use that kernel. Use one of the others you mentioned in this thread.

                  I tried but I can’t seem to update it because of the errors. Which is why I’m posting about it.
