I am currently using the kernel 4.19.0-256 (with meltdown, Spectre, ForeShadow patches) which is the kernel which is available in the Package Installer.
I see that Synaptic Package Manager has a newer kernel 4.19.276.
Is it recommended to upgrade to the newer kernel? If so, would it have the patches?

        Hello.
Yes, the later kernel version would have the patches of the previous version plus newer security updates. If you can I would recommend updating to the later version.
