      Hello
I’m a ex DSL user and there in xmms (1.2.8) I could change effect plugin values while recording. With a slide bar.
This was made possible after setting up ladspa.
In the version (1.2.11) of antiX I cant enable it anymore.
I have tryed to install “xmms-ladspa” but it is 32-bit. I allready tryed to change the control file from “i386” to “all” but, it keeps saying ‘wrong elf32’.
Can anyone tell me how I can setup ladspa in xmms?

        Welcome.

Where did you get xmms-ladspa from? Have you tried to compile it from this source?

        https://www.slackbuilds.org/repository/14.2/audio/xmms-ladspa/

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

          Thanks for the reply.
I don’t remember where I have it from. I think it came from Debian Woody but, I’m not shore.
The package you show me won’t install becouse of the absence of gtk. I was able to install gtk but, then it said: glib-config not found. I think it has to be a particular version of gtk and glib. I was able to set up glib-config trough ‘apt’ and still there is a problem in shared libraries becouse ldconfig returnes 1.
I think there are 2 kinds of architecture in the relaeses of xmms. The old ones with glib and gtk and the new ones.
The old ones were 32 bit and the new ones 64. The change had place somewhere round version 1.2.10.
Trough apt I can install several ladspa-plugins but, non of them shows up in xmms. I think the “xmms-ladspa” package don’t exist for 64 bit. So if I can convert the package ‘xmms-ladspa’ thouroly from 32 bit to 64 there can be a chance to get it to work. But until now it seems to be impossible.

Maybe I shall have to try to begin with ‘Antix.net’ and install xmms version 1.2.8 or another still from 32 bit. Maybe I’ll start with the 32bit install-version of Antix allso. And it seems that I shall have to downgrade apt becouse it will delete itself during installation of xmms. Which I allready tried (xmms1.2.10)

I think it will take a lot of time.

          Thanks
