      When you feel comfy later on. You can try a older kernel LTS version and you will get advanced options back. Keep it only if it works as a backup.

      Just remember when installing kernels to look for the update-grub readout when you do. Synaptic or antiX package manager will show a terminal readout.

      Older kernels get moved down the list from 4.9. So 4.9 will still boot first. Get comfy first I always say.
      Making changes will go easier when comfy.
