        apt update and apt dist-upgrade to ensure your system is up-to-date, then
        recheck ~~ attempt to launch gnome-mpv (The problem may have been solved by the upgrade)

        If the above does not solve, based on the errmsg “File o directory non esistente”
        and
        result of websearch: “libEGL warning: DRI2: failed to authenticate”
        https://pi3d.github.io/html/FAQ.html#glx-dri2-not-supported-or-failed-to-authenticate
        https://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/61078/qt-applications-dont-work-due-to-libegl
        we should investigate missing symlinks.

        sudo updatedb
        locate libEGL

            antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

              hello,

              Does dmesg output show any errors?
              This is the same problem andfree had in the mpv thread under new users and general questions.
              His last couple of posts there showed that the kernel was not loading the drm/agp modules and
              disabling gpu acceleration. At which point I was out of ideas.

                    I just got fullsreen dvd playback in mpv to work on my i965 that had that wouldn’t before maybe you
                    could try this. I created the mpv.conf file at “~/.config/mpv/mpv.conf” reading

                    --ytdl-format=bestvideo+bestaudio
                    save-position-on-quit=yes
                    fullscreen=yes
                    hwdec=vdpau
                    vo=vdpau
                    subcp=enca:en:utf8

                    Then I opened gnome-mpv and in preferences told it to load that config file in the settings.
                    I also have the “libvdpau-va-gl1 vdpau-va-driver and vdpauinfo” packages installed. Change the “en” in the subcp
                    line of the conf file to match your language. Also note that protected disks won’t play. Hope this helps.

                      One more quick note is it mounts the dvds in /media/sr0 if you use the open location from gnome-mpv.
                      It will play protected if you install the codecs from the system menu.

                          Sorry,
                          now that I look dvd isn”t listed under your drives.
                          but dvds and online sites do (I believe) use the same codecs/drivers for vdpau playback on mpv.
