I noticed the gtk3 pkg but I don’t think I can figure out a way to fool obmenu-generator to use it instead
obmenu-generator --help

not a user, I found it here: https://github.com/trizen/obmenu-generator
( if you are using an older version, it may not yet offer this option )
That is great (well not really a fan of gtk3) but I hadn’t noticed the change.
icon_size => 48,
force_icon_size => 0,
generic_fallback => 0,
locale_support => 1,
use_gtk3 => 0,
VERSION => $version,
you just flip 0 to 1 and use perl-gtk3
