Freshly installed Libreoffice 7x has insisted on starting fullscreen on several devices, no chance to grab edges to resize in any way which is very annoying..

Only working solution found so far has been to change settings in /home/your_username/.config//libreoffice/4/user/registrymodifications.xcu
which is where LO saves the last used window size.

For my screen I closed LO completely then changed the calc (value example below) geometry as needed for my screen size (in Pixel).
From the original default setup seen 1920,1200 in line below to 1230,1183.

      <item oor:path=”/org.openoffice.Setup/Office/Factories/org.openoffice.Setup:Factory[‘com.sun.star.frame.StartModule’]”><prop oor:name=”ooSetupFactoryWindowAttributes” oor:op=”fuse”><value>0,0,2,2;5;0,0,1920,1200;</value></prop></item>

and to 1230,1183 in lines for calc and writer, same fix will apply to other modules. This allowed me to resize windows as wished for.

      <item oor:path=”/org.openoffice.Setup/Office/Factories/org.openoffice.Setup:Factory[‘com.sun.star.sheet.SpreadsheetDocument’]”><prop oor:name=”ooSetupFactoryWindowAttributes” oor:op=”fuse”><value>14,16,1230,1183;1;0,0,0,0;</value></prop></item>

For other screen sizes settings must be changed to fit user needs.

Thanks for the heads up as libreoffice7 will, I assume, hit Debian backports soon.

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.
