For anyone interested we downloaded and installed complete Libreoffice Beta 2 from LO Org
for some testing. For now we have all packages installe, it runs well up to now but only
with the Java from LO Org. With Latest Oracle Java it is buggy and slow.
Language Tool installs cleanly and works well, again not with other java..I read over at MX that stevo is working on making it available.
Be nice if others jump in and do some testing no matter how they install.
It runs fine live on my “high end” 10 year old device saved from the dump.
Some controversy about naming and commercial wishes over at LO.
If as claimes the Personal edition is no go for serius work then we will bin it.That part of an official presentation has already lost LO the chance to be official
system at a big school.They Teachers and School can use softmaker office on all school computers for free and
have good support, just wish the kids could use it that way too.. German teachers get
I Pads, Mac, Chromebooks, MS products for free and poor kids nothing. Shitty.
