To keep Libreoffice up to latest stable version without much delay enabling Debian Buster backports in synaptic seems to be the most satisfactory solution.

Open synaptic: In Software and updates other software you can tick the box Debian backports Buster Main.

We leave that active and are now on Libreoffice 16.3.4 which is the latest Libreoffice Org Stable release.
Leaving the setting active brings in all available newer backported package versions on updates, recommendation is to update LibreOffice then disable
backports and update your package list again.

As the group Moderator I am recieving no complaints on stability or function. All feedback very positive.

btw. We keep hearing the argument from teachers that using MS Office is demanded by all companies here in Germany.
More than half the class my daughter attends are in practical work two days a week within companies who have no Microsoft products in use.

Wads of money, free hard and software for teachers as well as other perks bring massive lies and influence to youth, those who will forge the future. I oten want to puke.

        ModdIt,

That is why we work together to get the best possible free software.

I am thankful that so many people realize that it is possible to create excellent, freely available software.

Let’s keep testing, sharing and improving what’s available and make it even better and free.
