Lightdm

      Hi all i installed from core Antix 21 but the lightdm is not starting i did sudo systemctl enable lightdm.service but it says systemctl not recognised would be gratefull for any help tks

        I believe systemctl is a management utility for systemd. There is no systemd or systemctl in antiX.
        If you meant to use lightdm as login manager then I would suggest slimski as the preferred one for antiX 21.

          Likely lightdm is not starting because X is failing to start.
          Refer to the logs in /var/log/*
          As antiX uses sysv-init as default (or runnit as alternative) the command the start lightdm would be
          service lightdm start

            Hi tks i forgot to install xorg also the lightdm-gtk-greeter-settings was missing when i logged in to the desktop i could not open lightdm to change theming or the gufw to start apart from that i love it.
