With Linux 5.4 released on Sunday, 24 November, one of the big “winners” of this next kernel are AMD Radeon customers. Linux 5.4 brings support for new GPUs as well as better performance for existing graphics cards. Here are some fresh benchmarks of the performance wins as a result of the LRU bulk moves functionality.

How can you say this both amd and nvidia build drivers for Linux and the Linux kernel builders work hard to get their new hardware to work with Linux. I for one like the fact most of the coders do it for free just because they believe in the system its self it is the challenge that keeps Linux strong not billions of dollars bullshit and lies. I wish I had come here years ago. Linux has made me respect computers and I have learn things about myself and my ability build my own Linux system and all for Free.

As I remember, Windoze never made drivers. You bought a piece of hardware and the drivers came on a floppy disc, supplied by the manufacturer. Like Koo says, AMD coders work with Linux at Kernel level.
