Good article, the only thing I would challenge is your inclusion of Linux Lite, which is more bloated and heavy than Xubuntu or Lubuntu plus being ubuntu based has no current 32 bit future.

Also no mention that Antix also runs JWM and Fluxbox. Personally, I like JWM the best.

The current version of Peppermint 11 is an imposter of the old Peppermint 10, it’s nothing but Debian with 20 minutes of tweaks. They didn’t even bother to import the classic icons or themes over and almost no wallpaper out of the box. It’s also purely XFCE based now instead of the LXDE/XFCE hybrid model. Peppermint 10 was great.

Debian LXDE or Sparky deserves mentioning in light distros. MX Linux also although I find MX v 21 to be much more ram hungry than MX v 19.4

      Thanks for writing the article.

I agree to every single statement expressed by gpsblake.
Linus Lite doesn’t deserve to stay in that list.
Par contre I would have included in the list Q4OS TDE, also if after the version 4.6 it is moving towards the “medium weight” distros sector.

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

“antiX is a Debian-based Linux distribution that rocks the IceWM Window Manager in conjunction with the ROX Desktop Environment. Its slogan, “Proudly anti-fascist “antiX Magic” in an environment suitable for old and new computers” speaks volumes. It not only supports old hardware but was built with it in mind.”

Thats the review? OP just posted on this forum to drive traffic to his “article” to make some money from affiliate marketing. From their website:

“Affiliate Disclosure: We use affiliate links for some of the products and websites we promote. We get a commission for all the sales made when a visitor clicks through our affiliate link.””

This affiliate marketing has ruined the modern web. Its absolutely littered with search engine optimized “top 10 this and that” thats just a bunch of affiliate links to Amazon.
