Let me first say THANKS to all involved in developing and maintaining antiX. Your hard work is very much appreciated.

I’m relatively new to Linux, coming from Windows. I did try a lot of what all of you call Linux distros. Most of them work on newer machines. But only antiX makes my single-core 1.8Ghz, 1-gig RAM laptop perform really fast. And thanks for making it easy for a beginner like me to install Palemoon in it. The fast browser makes the experience complete.

I also learned something new with antiX…the absence of systemd. I wonder why its relative, MX Linux decided to use it (though Distro Watch incorrectly state that it uses SysV). But I only tested the 32-bit version though.

Anyways, I just hope you guys keep up the good work.

        Howdy and Welcome.

MX Linux ships with systemd present but disabled by default.

Just keeping the details straight. 😀

And MX does use SysV init, by default.
It uses systemd-shim for compatibility only for some apps from Debian.
