Hi, recently I checked the control centre entries for untranslated menus and found the following (probably incomplete) items :
wallpaper
default applications
keyboard layout
date & time
wpa supplicant configuration
su/sudo choice
auto-login
set screen-blank
mountbox
live usb maker
mouse settings
selection soundcard
codecs installer
menu managerPerhaps not all of them are a matter of antiX but of the underlying app. I hope somebody puts the topic on the radar screen, as the mix of languages in the menu is a bit annoying.

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

::Hi anti,
it is German. However, I guess it is not a matter of the translations. More likely, the original phrases in English aren’t prepared for the translations (missing gettext additions). For example, you included my hack for the “menu manager” last year, but in the meantime the untranslatable version is back again. This happend when all the changes associated with the icon modifications took place.
Don’t know, whether antiX19 has the same iusse.
Somebody should check some of the source codes, please.November 18, 2019 at 6:48 am #29460Forum Admin

IMHO a distro can’t be considered fully translated/localized as long as the basic tools it makes use of (“native” or “borrowed”) aren’t translated/localized as well. In my view among those tools are the ones present in the control center.
The translations forum is “introduced” with an idea: “Help make antiX accessible in your language”. It won’t be fully accessible if an user has a problem — say the Internet connection fails — and he can’t deal with the tool that solves his problem.
Since many tools in antiX cc aren’t native antiX tools and the dev team can’t reach everywhere, I wonder if there are any forum users who would be willing to help translators find the original .po files in English (or whatever those files may be) for those tools so that they can translate the tools and eventually antiX gets all tools in its CC localized — at least for the languages that are already translated at 100% in Transifex.
