I have, for many years, been using “lsyncd” to protect my file systems from drive failures and power outages. It is available in the AntiX and Void repos. This is a simple, alternative to the heavy-duty disk mirroring systems that are available. I have written a brief paper on my personal experience of using “lsyncd”, and put it in a temporary place:

Thanks, “lyncd” is a typo for the intended “lsyncd”! Fixed it. Getting old..
