Moved from Puppy. Find AntiX to be a step up. The low ram usage and cross compatibility with Debian really helps getting those apps you would expect with a top3 distro. I wish I started using this distro earlier.

Personally, I’m in-between degree’s right now. Standard Comp Sci & Electronics stuff. Boring but necessary.
As a ex Puppy distro user and Open University (UK) student I have an interest in preserving accessibility to technology and information so AntiX fits right into my world-view.

I Intend to spend a while learning from others and in time find out if I can contribute something to the project.
First however I am trying to install a guilty pleasure onto AntiX .. “World of Tanks”.
I could just run a virtual-box but that is too easy. I prefer the hard way since I learn new skills in the process.

So far I have tried to use this guide:
      https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldofTanks/comments/q2r51z/play_wot_pc_version_on_linux_ubuntu_without_steam/

I was unable to install Bottles under my user name. AntiX insisted I must use root, so I did.
I installed with Flatpak and got Bottles working. The problem however is, when I download the WarGaming exe file to downloads I am unable to navigate or find the exe.
Does anyone have any experience in dealing with this?

      Thanks.

        Hello, and welcome to antiX.

Sorry, I can’t help with your question. Maybe someone else here will know something about it.

See where your browser downloads its files, in the browser’s settings.

Perhaps it’s an archive file (e.g., .zip) that needs to be expanded first?
