I downloaded and installed antiX-17.2_x64-full.iso, then added the dev repo.
When I did the apt-get update I did get warnings, but assume that was ok
I then installed the lumina-desktop, which went ok.
I tried changing to it and that works, but you don’t know it because an “Other Desktops” window opens saying “your window manager is not one of the supported window managers” and if you pick one, it doesn’t open the lumina desktop. Cancel gets you to the desktop.
I do like that it put up icons for the volumes, but the color of the text used under the icons is almost the same as the background, and the font is too large for the icon spacing. I also had the same problem with the tray volume icom and time.
Firefox and Spacefm work, but I can’t see how to resize windows. I can move or make them full screen or minimize, but can’t use the mouse to resize them.
The terminal option on the menu wants to open xterm it looks, but if you use the applications menu, root terminal goes nowhere, too. Lxterminal did work.
The start menu looks like it was intended to shop applications, but its empty.
Memory usage is significant, partly because its trying to run wicd which I had booted the flashdrive with NOWICD, but forgot to check the use boot options when installing, possibly. I see an icon in the tray that says “not connected” as I type this.
I like my IceWM better, but will leave Lumina installed in case you want me to try any other tests with it, and appreciate your willingness and time/effort making other environments available. I may try some of the others available from the package installer.

::BobC, “Alt+ Right_Mouse and drag” successfully resizes application windows?
Lumina Project has a great Handbook, chock full of screenshots. Within the desktop menu, is the “Applications” submenu successfully populated, or blank?
(If blank, the necessary “plugin” might be missing from the package)

::Did you try to shutdown from lumina ? It’s some month ago I tried it, just liked the name. Can’t remember exactly, but I sure know I stumbled about some things, one was it coudn’t shutdown.Gave it up very quickly, maybe too early.

::Skidoo, I admit that I didn’t go look at the Docs. I did find a right click pull down menu with window options, but resizing wasn’t one of the options.
Caprea, Yes, there is a “Leave” option, but only takes you back to the Desktop Selection screen. Adding the antiX Desktop/Session Exit menu as an option from there would be a possible nice way to solve it so that when you are signing on, you would have the normal shutdown options available.
Another more minor missing item, there is no place on the Lumina menu that I could find to turn on/off rox pinboard/conky or switch desktops.
Midnight Commander didn’t come up, saying it couldn’t find xterm, that is probably why Terminal didn’t work, either.

::unable to open terminal ~~ search the forum, I think that same problem was reported by others. Probably need to figure out (covered in their manual?) where to configure “Preferred applications” in the lumina settings. I don’t know whether their menu attempts to exec “xterm” directly or passes the call through a shell. If the latter, might be solved by adding an alias xterm=”lxterminal” into your .bashrc
2015 I started tracking the project because they stated they were forking fluxbox https://antixlinux.com/forum-archive/lumina-desktop-t5852.html#p42462
Most of what I mentioned in review remains the same. Technically, they didn’t “fork” fluxbox, they’ve just used an outdated version of fluxbox as their WM with no improvements to it. They created a feature-limited “theming” GUI as one of the lumina components, a severely feature-limited file manager component and, approaching 2019, IMO still haven’t created an appealing “desktop environment”.In case you care to hear one of the project’s principals explain their “vision”
Ken Moore Lumina Rising Challenging Desktop Orthodoxy at Ohio Linuxfest 2017 (43min) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iOsuYivJqA
When I listened to portions of that, my impression was: it’s an ego project (something to pad their resumes with) rife with NIH (not invented here), especially evident their choice to ship “our own” file manager instead of forking/improving PCmanFM -
