Per a thread reply in Facebook’s Antix Linux group, to the effect that Lumina was built to run on top of Fluxbox, I checked and noticed that Lumina was not listed as a supported Desktop Environment in AntiX Package Installer, nor in Synaptic. Could it be added safely?

::I built Lumina debs for stretch for those that want to test it out and it has been sent to get added to the repos.
Testers will need to edit /etc/apt/sources.list.d/antix.list to include the word devdeb http://repo.antixlinux.com/stretch stretch main nosystemd devPhilosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

::Lumina is strange. The only terminal that I can get to work is ROOT! And good luck changing back to Space-Fluxbox without a reboot. Also, the only way I could get it to shut down was to press the power on/off button until it did.

::Thanks rolytnji. It honestly didn’t occur to me that there even was a Lumina manual. From said manual, Alt-F1 solves the first problem I mentioned, but going back to Space-Fluxbox, or ANY of the other WM combinations, is an AntiX “feature”, which I also noted when I tried using the minimal Xfce some months ago–you simply CAN’T (or at least I couldn’t figure out how). And Lumina would not shut down either–just logged out.

::Well. When a mystery SD card corruption caused my chromebook not to shutdown, just sit there staring at me. Not even a command line screen.
I played with these commands. Because shutdown had to be done with the Chromebooks power button switch.sudo shutdown -h nowMight work in Lumina. Might not. Beats the heck out of me. The above command was the first indicator that my SD card was the culprit of my Chromebook sudden troubles. Running that command showed tons of sdxxx errors and would loop around shutting the Chromebook off.
Just errors and errors, repeated.
Hard shutdown was still required, But now I had a small idea on where my problem might lie. Since I have pulled the SD card out of the Chromebook.
All other bad symptoms that SD card caused went away. Shutdown returned to normal.I know. Way different scenario. But maybe the above command will work and you can shutdown. Or. You may get a hint on the reason it does not shutdown.

::For the Desktop menu switcher thing.
/usr/share/desktop-session/wm-menus/icewm-wm-menuIs where I would poke around next. Making backups first. See how I could incorporate those menu choices into Luminas menu.
Might require transposing menus so lumina understands it. Heck if I know.
