      I updated antix this morning.

      Start-Date: 2020-03-05  08:01:37
      Commandline: apt full-upgrade
      Requested-By: antix (1000)
      Upgrade: libpolkit-gobject-1-0:amd64 (0.105-25, 0.105-25.0nosystemd1), libpolkit-agent-1-0:amd64 (0.105-25, 0.105-25.0nosystemd1), libpolkit-backend-1-0:amd64 (0.105-25, 0.105-25.0nosystemd1), policykit-1:amd64 (0.105-25, 0.105-25.0nosystemd1)
      End-Date: 2020-03-05  08:01:52

      And now the shutdown, restart , etc, buttons of xfce4-session-logout are not working. Just log me out to lightdm. The lightdm menu are greyed out also, I cant select any action. I tried installing slim and xinit but it’s the same, just logme out.

      Any suggestions other than changing xfce4?

        there is a couple of things.

        1. make sure dbus is running.

        2. make sure a polkit authenticator is running. dbus usually starts them in the larger desktop environments, so that’s why I suggest checking to see if dbus is oK.

          Seems like I built a buggy policykit set of debs.

          Try (temporary fix):

          Comment out antiX repos.

          sudo apt update

          sudo apt install aptitude

          sudo aptitude install policykit-1=0.105-25

          You will be offered option, click no until you get to this one, then click yes.

          The following actions will resolve these dependencies:

               Downgrade the following packages:
          1)     libpolkit-agent-1-0 [0.105-25.0nosystemd1 (now) -> 0.105-25 (stable)]
          2)     libpolkit-backend-1-0 [0.105-25.0nosystemd1 (now) -> 0.105-25 (stable)]
          3)     libpolkit-gobject-1-0 [0.105-25.0nosystemd1 (now) -> 0.105-25 (stable)]

          Note if any apps get removed and reinstall them. You may need to re-enable the antiX repo and chack that the nosystemd version of policykit-1 doesn’t get installed.

          Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

          antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

            Permanent fix should be ready soon.

              Thanks, that worked.

              And now I learned how to downgrade things. I thought they were the same aptitude and apt. I will be waiting for the fix, no big deal, no rush.
