My respects to all!
can you tell us which gentleman’s set of programs and utilities is most suitable for configuring the mail system in antix?
I tried exim4+fetchmail and something went wrong.
this may also be due to the fact that the hands are crooked.
but it is better to know how and what to dig in the topic.November 3, 2020 at 2:39 pm #44294MemberPPC
::antiX’s default e-mail client is Claws- it may not look “pretty”, but it gets the job done, it’s quite efficient and runs of low resources…

::PPC,undoubtedly Claws cool app.
this again illustrates that in AntiX well-chosen apps.
but mutt, mailutils, nmh,… allow you to use the power of the command-line interface.
especially Linux is a command line.
seems like a good combination getmail+exim4+nuttNovember 4, 2020 at 5:20 pm #44367Forum Admin

::Alpine, mutt, nmh, mh-e, TCL/Tk based exmh, and others are all available in either the MX, antiX, or Debian repositories.
I also noticed sylpheed, Thunderbird (not “light”, but certainly useful), s-nail – feature-rich BSD mail(1)… and the list goes on.
Needless to say, if there is an Email client you are looking for, it’s out there and either available through .deb packages, and in the most extreme case, there are ways to import, build, and install using more advanced methods too, so getting your favorite Linux-based Email client is not a problem.
Does this help?

I like AntiX because it has a very correct philosophy: simple, but effective.
man can go into the subject of mail endlessly.
who cares-good luck!
a simple and working tool is important to me.P.S.
I noticed, gentlemen, that this forum is a very good-natured company.
one person said that AntiX this distributiv is created by Linux users for Linux users.- This reply was modified 2 years, 6 months ago by ThakurMsh.
