I have been using Master PDF Editor 4.3.89 with my 32 bit laptop which was running antiX 19.
Here is the website to obtain the application: https://www.linuxuprising.com/2019/04/download-master-pdf-editor-4-for-linux.html
Here is the download for the qt4 (32 bit) version of the application: https://code-industry.net/public/master-pdf-editor-4.3.89_i386.debI recently installed antiX 21 and now Master PDF will not install. I get the following error message:
Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libqt4-svg(>=4.6.4)I checked Synaptic Package Manager. It only has qt5 components.
The qt5 version of Master PDF is only available for 64 bit computers.
It appears that the 32 bit version of Master PDF requires qt4 components. AntiX 19 may have had qt4 components, but antiX 21 only has qt5 components.- This topic was modified 12 months ago by greyowl.

::Ask the proprietary Master PDF Editor devs if they will support 32 bit on Debian 10/antiX-21
Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.
antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.

::You could install it on 19.4 using the USB live with persistence (& if needed, try copying it to antix21 after it’s built).
Otherwise you might have to attempt something like this: https://askubuntu.com/questions/766615/how-to-install-libqt4-core-and-libqt4-gui-on-ubuntu-16-04-lts

Thanks for the suggestion.
I thought antiX-21 was based on Debian 11.
Is antiX-21 32 bit based on Debian 10 or 11?
Is antiX-21 64 bit based on Debian 10 or 11?Dell Latitude D620 laptop with antiX 22 (64 bit)

I understand how to install Master PDF on 19.4 using the USB live with persistence.
If I have antix21 installed on the laptop, I don’t understand how to copy Master PDF from the USB live to antix21 which is installed on the laptop?Dell Latitude D620 laptop with antiX 22 (64 bit)

After installing, then you just copy & paste the app folder (you might need to root/sudo copy it depending on your permissions).
Or if you’re really lazy just boot Antix21, then mount your USB & go to your App path & try to run it.

::You can also run antiX 19 in a vm on top of antiX 21. Run Master PDF Editor 4 inside the vm. I’ve done that before for a good PDF editor.
Now I use Foxit PDF online editor. Works better for me than Master PDF Editor 4.

::hi andyprough,
did you read the privacy policy for foxit to the end.
It must be clear that for anyone using the product online they will be giving US companys
and well known agencys a lot of sensitive personal information.In EU we are forced to fill out a lot of PDF documents and applications for government services.
Foxit is not a best choice when all data can stay on the users device, if he is careful anyway.- This reply was modified 12 months ago by ModdIt.

::Depending on what kind of edits you actually want to apply on your pdf files, xournal also could be an alternative. This tool is available in default debian repos (buster and bullseye, 32 and 64 bit)
$ rmadison xournal --architecture i386 xournal | 1:0.4.8-1 | oldoldoldstable | i386 xournal | 1:0.4.8-1+b1 | oldoldstable | i386 xournal | 1:0.4.8-1+b1 | oldstable | i386 xournal | 1:0.4.8.2016-7 | stable | i386 xournal | 1:0.4.8.2016-7+b1 | testing | i386 xournal | 1:0.4.8.2016-7+b1 | unstable | i386 $ rmadison xournal --architecture amd64 xournal | 1:0.4.8-1 | oldoldoldstable | amd64 xournal | 1:0.4.8-1+b1 | oldoldstable | amd64 xournal | 1:0.4.8-1+b1 | oldstable | amd64 xournal | 1:0.4.8.2016-7 | stable | amd64 xournal | 1:0.4.8.2016-7+b1 | testing | amd64 xournal | 1:0.4.8.2016-7+b1 | unstable | amd64This program allows you to write or paint in one (or multiple) transparent layer(s) on the pdf, also adding image files or text in these layer(s), so the original content is no longer visable. Also you can use it for simple annotations of pdf files.
Your modifications are stored in an additional file of the same filename as your original pdf.
Also you can export the result to a new pdf file, incorporating all your modifications.For rearranging, inserting and removing pages from a multiple page pdf you could use pdfarranger, also present in buster and bullseye both, all architectures.
$ rmadison pdfarranger --architecture all pdfarranger | 1.1.1-1 | oldstable | all pdfarranger | 1.6.2-1 | stable | all pdfarranger | 1.8.2-1 | testing | all pdfarranger | 1.8.2-1 | unstable | allBoth are GUI tools. I do use them frequently and install them by default on a fresh antiX install. Maybe this could be an adequate replacement for you also.

Foxit is not a best choice when all data can stay on the users device, if he is careful anyway.The privacy policy isn’t that bad – they claim not to read your documents and to delete them all from their servers within a day. The problem is that you can’t really trust that these companies will follow those policies.
For filling out government forms, I would just use okular. It can handle most form-filling tasks.
