::Hi joaopaulo,
1. I am using it on my antiX system without systemd.
2. It looks as if it is installed on your system.
3. If it is installed, even if it doesn’t work, it might conflict with PulseAudio.
4. If it is installed, try removing it and see if the microphone starts working.

::My final advice – backup everything and reinstall antiX – no do not, I repeat do not try to install stuff that you don’t know exactly how to configure- you may end up breaking your system, as it seems, you partly did… Before trying reinstalling, boot from the same media that you used to install antiX and check if the mic is working in live mode- if it’s muted, even in live mode, try unmuting it and also, like advised previously, try using a mic lower booster setting. If even so the mic does not work in antiX: antix may not be 100% compatible with your sound card (extremely rare) or your sound card may be damaged (probable).
I’m not going to answer this thread any more for the following reasons:
1- the OP even when provided with detailed instructions of what steps he should try, even when asked to provide details, responds with telegraphic “don’t work” answers, and folks that try to help him seem to have to figure out what was the exact error he got- I may be many things, but I’m not a fortune teller…
2- If I understood correctly (my apologies if I did not) he OP seems to try to have installed, at the same time, 3 pieces of software that try to manage sound – alsa, pulseaudio and pipewire? Hum… What’s the chance of anything going wrong with that? Also… Did anyone here advise to do such thing? I think not.
3- The OP seems to think that he knows more than the people that are wasting time trying to help him, like when he stated that pipewire does not work under antix because it requires systemd… If you are really a young man- no, you may think you know everything, but you don’t, please pay attention when someone more experienced tells you something. If you don’t think the suggestion is correct, search the forum or use a search engine – simply searching for “pipewire” in the forum would provide help on how to set it up on antiX (as well as it’s pros and cons).
4- I don’t understand alanwake82’s post- is he having the same problem as the OP or is he the same user as joao?P.

::the pipewire don’t work here, because…
The pipewire project currently has 633 open issue tickets
gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/issuesalso several open bug reports posted against the debian pipewire package
bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/pkgreport.cgi?pkg=pipewire;dist=unstable@anyone who for whom pipewire is working properly, i would say
“consider yourself lucky, and do not be surprised when you eventually encounter a pipewire bug”- This reply was modified 1 year, 2 months ago by Brian Masinick. Reason: From skidoo
