How to mirror your android device’s on your antiX computer screen:
Note: this does not require the android device to be rooted
1- There’s an application, available in the Repository: scrcpy (that requires “adb” to work). You’ll have to install it, using Synaptic or the terminal:
      sudo apt install scrcpy adb
2- Make sure your Android device has setting “USB depuration” activated ( You have to first activate the “Developer’s mode”- Example, in Android 10: Settings > About Phone > Software Information > Tap 7 times in “Android Build”;then ativate “USB depuration”: Settings > Developer Settings > Check that “USB depuration” is active.
3- Connect your Android device to your computer, using a USB cable.
4- Launch, from menu > Accessories , from the terminal ou from a “run” window:
      scrcpy
5- If needed, autorise access on your android device’s screen, if you haven’t done so to that particular computer. After doing that, a the terminal, run this commands:
      adb kill-server && scrcpy

Now, after the initial configuration (steps 1 and 2), every time you want to mirror your android device, simply do steps 3 and 4 (and also 5, if needed).

Note: you can use your mouse and keyboard as android input devices, while using scrcpy!

Tips: there are many command line options. Very usefull ones:
“scrcpy -S” – mirrors your android device on your computer screen with the device’s screen off
“scrcpy -f” – mirrors the android device on full screen.

          Hi: try this procedure:
          https://github.com/Genymobile/scrcpy/blob/master/FAQ.md#mouse-and-keyboard-do-not-work

P.S. – since scrcpy does not send sound output to the PC, I’m trying to make “sndcpy” work, over at https://github.com/rom1v/sndcpy (for android 10 devices, try usbaudio, for older devices)

If you want a nice GUI with the possibility to map keys to certain points of the screen (feature that I have yet to configure), download guiscrcpy-min-4.7.2.m.glibc2.23-x86_64.AppImage from https://github.com/srevinsaju/guiscrcpy

Hi PPC, could USB depuration = USB debugging.
All our phones have that setting, none something called depuration which means cleaning
            or purging. Could fit..
No time for experiments right now, but interested in trying to use the phone mirroring.
My Honor 9x Pro is waaay more powerful than the EEPC which I often use for light tasks
            so should be fun.

Yes, they are the same- I was translating from me phone’s menu- that’s in portuguese 🙂
It’s a 2 step configuration on the android device- and yes- I can even user MS Word via my phone, on my antiX (but with that ugly on-screen keyboard, even when using my physical keyboard to type) Stuff like board games (wich I love) on the Android device are a joy to play on my computer’s screen, using the mouse…

@PPC Thanks, should have switched phone to your language for quick answer.
I never use MS Word any more, that finished when I left work.
Not knowing which keyboard you are using. I use anysoft from F Droid on all devices,
I find it less ugly than standard, it supports portugese as well as flexible multi
                language setups. and appearance skins.
it is also privacy respecting. local spellchecking against goog grabbing all input.

Just found it: In Anysoft KB. Fine settings, hide keyboard when hardware keyboard is connected.
Tick box to enable that setting.
