      Hi guys,

I installed antiX Core, which I avoided for a long time because it had a scary name like Debian netinstall :). Same goes for cli-installer :). It turns out it is fairly simple to use so long as you’re not a complete newbie. I did screw up once in that I thought I created an ext4 partition with parted but I actually created a non-formatted partition so install failed. After using mkfs.ext4, installation went smoothly and fast. I am very happy with OS. It’s smooth and solid like Slackware but way leaner and more flexible.

Anyway, I seem to be missing some fonts. Please see screenshots. Any tips?

Partially solved. I didn’t know about fc-cache command. but fonts in terminal look alright now after reboot. Only currency symbols left to figure out.

By the way, I installed Asian fonts according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Multilingual_support_%28East_Asian%29

Thanks for your notes, skidoo. I realized, though, that I had NoScript extension. It might have prevented currency symbols from rendering properly or the fonts I installed solved the problem. I’m not sure.

antiX with runit - leaner and meaner.
