The current mouse driver seems to have slower mouse acceleration than Windows mouse drivers & feels ‘laggy’.

If I use Windows for a while & come back to antiX, I find myself picking up & dropping the mouse to move across screens often (even though it is set at max).

This is not an issue in games that let you configure mouse acceleration.

Have you tried using the the antix mouse tool available in control panel?
Also, check into directly using xinput [[[or xset]]] command

        an alternative “driver” here: https://github.com/arthurfeeney/Marley-Accel
Disclaimer, I have not tried it. Please make a post to report your satisfaction if you use it.

Another alternative I have not tried
        https://github.com/Skyl3r/leetmouse plus also https://github.com/Skyl3r/leetmouse-gui

Thanks, yeah I adjusted the settings in the control centre UI.

I have looked at GitHub, but was curious what alts others may be using.

The leet mouse driver looks promising since it’s written in C, actively developed, and has a Python UI.
