      Dear BobC,

I am really happy and have read a lot of documentation to convert my nvme internal drive from RAID mode to AHCI mode without losing Windows 10 RTM Professional.

You should know that manufacturers such as Lenovo, Dell… install their internal drive in RAID ON mode even if there is only one drive. We don’t understand why they do this because Windows also recommends the AHCI mode. Linux does not support this RAID mode.

Look below at the “lsblk” command, it shows my internal drive and I didn’t lose Windows 10.

NAME MAJ:MIN RM SIZE RO TYPE MOUNTPOINT
      sda 8:0 1 28,7G 0 disk
      ├─sda1 8:1 1 1G 0 part [SWAP]
      ├─sda2 8:2 1 20G 0 part /
      └─sda3 8:3 1 7,7G 0 part /media/wallon/sda3-usb-USB_SanDisk_3.2G

      nvme0n1 259:0 0 238,5G 0 disk
      ├─nvme0n1p1 259:1 0 529M 0 part
      ├─nvme0n1p2 259:2 0 100M 0 part
      ├─nvme0n1p3 259:3 0 16M 0 part
      ├─nvme0n1p4 259:4 0 237,1G 0 part
      └─nvme0n1p5 259:5 0 720M 0 part

I am willing to share my information to convert a RAID mode mount to AHCI mode for other antiX users but I know anticapitalista doesn’t like Windows. I don’t know if it’s right or wrong to open a thread to share my experience.

If you knew how happy I am!

Thanks for giving me the idea to go into my dmesg.log to find out about the problem of mounting an internal drive.

You have helped me a lot with this problem. Thank you very much. It’s great!

      Best regards,
      Wallon
