      I have installed antiX 21 Full on a usb stick.

      I added the “windows_names” option to /etc/udevil/udevil.conf because I know I can’t open an internal drive with mount options in fstab.

      More precisely, I added the option at the end of the following 2 lines;

      default_options_ntfs = nosuid, noexec, nodev, noatime, uid=$UID, gid=$GID, utf8, windows_names

      allowed_options = nosuid, noexec, nodev, noatime, fmask=0133, dmask=0022, uid=$UID, gid=$GID, ro, rw, sync, flush, iocharset=*, utf8, remount, windows_names

      If I type in a terminal the following command;
      cat /proc/mounts

      I get this answer for my internal ntfs disk;
      /dev/nvme0n1p4 /media/wallon/nvme0n1p4-nvme-PC401_NVMe_SK_h fuseblk rw,nosuid,nodev,noexec,noatime,user_id=0,group_id=0,default_permissions,allow_other,blksize=4096 0 0

      So the “windows_names” option is not enabled.

      How do I do this?

      Best regards,
      Wallon

        Hello Wallon,
        Anything in dmesg output?
        Btw, after modifying the settings, you probably need to actually remount the drive before the changes take place.
        Should look something like
        mount -t ntfs-3g -o remount,rw ...
        And then: Why do you think you can’t add mount options to your fstab file for internal drives? udevil should handle external drives only, as far as I know. Example from my /etc/fstab file:

        # Added by make-fstab /dev/sda7  label=/daten3
        UUID=d1bc869a-ec25-426d-831b-e47f331472ce  /media/_daten3    ext3    noauto,exec,users

        As you can see, the last arguments are options, and you may add some more of them.
        Once you applied the additions to that config file you need to remount the drive as said above. (I think if the options are included within the fstab file you don’t need to file them in the remount command explicitely again)
        Many greetings
        Robin

        Windows is like a submarine. Open a window and serious problems will start.
