Did another update/upgrade. Not logged though. But it had ds-mouse-antix and the Mouse Configuration GUI have got a new layout/enhance […] it added a line in desktop-session startup ‘ds-mouse –all’ without single quotes and trailing & Q:why not & ?
      Results:
After reboots after reboots trying to nail the the following issue, it just kept unsolved: left hand mouse layout doesn’t apply over reboots and for my happiness my scripts on desktop-session startup file don’t execute anymore; maybe startup file isn’t being called at all? Tried to resolve on my side. […] I REALLY didn’t want to cross this line, but I am studying for college exams and thus my overall finance autonomy, in a way I can’t spent more time with this time killers. I also struggle with this new kernel parameters/ new build, to enhance my web usage (the program I am studying is online BTECH), which at the moment I simply can’t go on reading so many configuration pages. To summarize, I just need the basics, but the basics oddly seems to not, hmmm, “comply”/not even a tangible mercy — with my objectives. ( I will not put here, but final desktop took me a while to accomplish, lots of tweaks. Don’t get me wrong, I asked for this; while most other distros wouldn’t suit this low budget Atom netbook and spare me the steep? learning curve of building from mini, netinst, core ISOs. “One finishable thing at a reasonable time”)
This is good […] is reliefing in a manner. I hope you understand and care.

      My best compliments.

I am having a hard time reading the post.

It should not need the & at the end but it will not hurt to add it. So I will add this to the program, but you should be able to test this by adding it to the end.

Also commenting it out should make the startup file the same as before and able to use the script from before.

Another thing to try is to change the file permissions to make sure it is executable.
        chmod 755 $HOME/.desktop-session/startup
In terminal as your regular user should do that.

Ok I have updated the program on github, it may take a bit for it to show up as an updated package.
          The solution is to run
          chmod 755 ~/.desktop-session/startup
which makes the startup file executable (the problem was it was no longer executable after the mouse app alters the startup for the mouse command.)
I also added the & to the end of the line.

Thanks for letting us know about the problem.

Edit: Sorry one more issue I noticed… the command in startup should be ds-mouse -all not ds-mouse –all. I should not have worked on this so late at night LOL
