MPV improve playback quality + install latest ytdlp ytfzf

While rebuilding my system from a fresh install I decided to watch a you tube video
ouch.
Time to get some improvement.

Searched forum for the excellent tips in thread started as mpv –hwdec=auto
As I found on following this howto, Forum Search fails so edit.

Re read whole thread and in particular post #80038 from subluminal, that should not mean
I disregarded the useful posts from other forum members other other subluminal posts.
Depending on hardware capability getting best performance means testing out a lot of settings
before accepting that without in depth knowledge and unlimited patience good enough is where I
at least stop..

Grabbed mpv config files from https://github.com/subluminal-byte/mpv-config-video-image-viewer
and followed the instructions to put them in my /home/username/.config/mpv/mpv.conf

For video especialy from youtube where goog, now meta (virtual reality, metaverse) keeps bending the rules
it is recommended to use latest software or script versions. We can not expect antiX devs to watch for changes
and always provide latest versions of packages like these in an instant. Anyway they are easy to install.

Ensured I had the latest version of ytdlp, an improved fork of ytdl, method below.

sudo wget https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/releases/latest/download/yt-dlp -O /usr/local/bin/yt-dlp
sudo chmod a+rx /usr/local/bin/yt-dlp

Installed latest ytfzf as not yet in repos:
instructions at https://github.com/pystardust/ytfzf and below. checked dependencys are installed

Installed git: sudo apt install git
then did:

git clone https://github.com/pystardust/ytfzf
cd ytfzf
sudo make uninstall-old
sudo make install doc

Added alias yt=’ytfzf –pages=2′ to /home/username/.bash_aliases, after just tap in yt for
starting ytfzf.

Used ytfzf to scrape youtube for some Meatloaf videos. To get a playlist pressing tab for each video
I wanted to watch, enter to start playback.

Even without tweaking settings the video quality is greatly improved. Well worth the time and effort.
That also applies to lower end hardware EEPC which really limps along with any player other than MPV.
