::Thank you. From my limited knowledge of Grup Yorum repertoire this one appears to belong to their earlier style. Published in 1998.
Turkish prisons are no fun (this is my conjecture, not from my experience of course) comparing to American ones, where you have HBO, gym, etc… Not all such though…- This reply was modified 1 year ago by olsztyn.

::I must have previously missed that Grup Yorum was banned from performing in Germany, not just Turkey:
Considering they were allowed to perform in Ireland, this must mean something about difference in freedom of expression of political views…
On social (rather than socialist for a change) topic: In Turkey today president Erdogan announced reprisals against media for spreading immoral and pervert content. This seems the most decisive step in this direction on his part so far:- This reply was modified 12 months ago by olsztyn.

::I don’t understand why people cannot speak freely.
The current pandemic is threatening freedom too, but I have not noticed it stopping people in my region to stop speaking for and against the policies.
I also read things, pro and con, about my own country and other nations. For the most part the conversation is constructive, but whether it is or not, I hear and read freely.
Do those who stifle others fear them, is that what it really is? Why not listen to many viewpoints and collectively decide for themselves?

I do not know in what region you are but in the USA we are attached to freedom. Our first and second amendment to the constitution (for those outside of USA – these are about freedom of speech and the right to firearms) should be safeguarded at all cost. In my understanding there is no such equivalent in most European counties.
My expectation is that Grup Yorum would not be banned in the USA for the reason of the first amendment.
Pandemic gave an opportunity for governments to restrict freedoms but now when pandemic is passing, life must return to normal and oppressive government powers must end.
My thinking is that what played role in ban of Grup Yorum in Germany (this was before pandemic) was a relatively large Turkish minority. German government was in agreement with Turkey on influence of Grup Yorum on that minority, promoting communist ideology. Grug Yorum were great musicians and singers, easily reaching to hearts of young people after all…- This reply was modified 12 months ago by olsztyn.

Great move from NorthEast to South Carolina… I am still in New Jersey but we are planning to move to Florida. Many our friends already moved…

::In the continued spirit of Grup Yorum antiX I just want to highlight another their performance – Direnişçilerin Cevabı from 2003:

In Grup Yorum’s typical style it is a communist revolutionary song, but both music and lyrics produced by Grup Yorum, not one of those international, translated songs.
In those earlier concerts I do not see Helin Bölek yet, a great singer whom we lost in 2020.Live antiX Boot Options (Previously posted by Xecure):

::Considering antiX 22 is continuation of Grup Yorum line of this great OS, I would like to bring up another great song performed by Grup Yorum – “Ey Şahin Bakışlım”, a part of their 1996 album:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EviJNAhUoSs&list=PL2oJDUzFy_6Gx5POd1HI—8-K-iNdR0H&index=1Since learning Turkish continues to present a significant challenge to me in spite of interest in this beautiful language, I would refer anyone to Google Translate in order to understand these romantic lyrics…
As antiX 22 is around the corner, and practically is already here in the form of *elogind*-free antiX 21, if anyone is interested, I thought it is a great opportunity to revisit what Grup Yorum and their outstanding performance over years accomplished…

::Having revisited Grup Yorum repertoire it appears I missed to mention one particularly worthwhile. Be it revolutionary, but it is the spirit what matters in their music and lyrics after all, and both being top notch…
“Grup YORUM – Direnişçilerin Cevabı”:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCcYKUlCEeQ
I thought it would be good to keep remembrance of their music, particularly after loss of their two top performers – Helin Bölek and İbrahim Gökçek in 2020…
Learning Turkish still presents a challenge to me so I still resort to translations more often than I would like, but hopefully it is not much challenge to many our antiX users…- This reply was modified 4 months ago by olsztyn.
