I have a problem with MX18 seeing my TV. It both worked before but no now go (using Live USB). Lenovo ThinkPad T520 Core i5 2.5/3.2GHz w/8gb ram. It uses a display port and I have an adapter from display port to HDMI. Any ideas.

::you may have to turn the HDMI/DISPLAY port on. I used to have a similar problem.
xrandr --output DP1 --autois a variation of what I used to use. where DP1 is the name of the output you need, which you can find with
xrandrfrom the terminal.

::Funny, on mine, which is an HP laptop w/a full-sized displayport, xrandr sees the TV/monitor connected on HDMI1.

::Hello again. Thank you for the response. I have found that my Dell E6440 with a standard HDMI port works fine.

Alas this Dell is way to powerful for me to leave it just as a TV-DVR-Linux machine and find the Lenovo ThinkPad T520 a better fit for this option. I will run the
“xrandr –output DP1 –auto” as soon as I can. I find it strange that it did work on an earlier version of MX17 but now .. blanco….
I will return with future updates as to the current time I am using the Lenovo ThinkPad T520 w/W10 to watch Netflix, Amazon and other programs without flaw and it seem W/10 works fine for this time..
DO NOT mistake my current status with Windows to be my permanent, it is just my convince choice ATM.
Thank you for the current attempts of help to try, but do not take my delay as dismissal, just enjoying my current working setup until I catch up on my viewings.I also have a new (to me) Dell Optiplex 7010 Desktop w/i5-3570, an Nvidia 730 gt card but no wireless, yet, but that will be another post.

::Connects as HDMI2 (HDMI1 is the BluRay Player), will show the blue MX18 loading screen but then nothing. Using the Display tool it only says Laptop..\

::What does
$root>xrandr --output HDMI2 --mode 1920x1080 --output eDP1 --offdo for you? (if your TV isn’t 1920×1080, change to what it is)!
