I need to put a application Icon on the desktop or the panel Wife is partly blind. How can I do this? Using antix 17.4 full. Any help appreciated.

the desktop is easiest. drag the applications’ .desktop file from /usr/share/applications directly onto the desktop.

Just a tip to make it easy.
After you have found your hidden .icewm folder in home
you can once click on toolbar and then once click on menu-applications
This will open both files in geany, where they are now shown side by side, you can click on menu-applications or toolbar in the above
You can now mark and copy and paste every line you want that begins with prog
from menu-applications file to the toolbar file
The application will be shown afterwards in the toolbar.
You have to restart icewm or logout/in or reboot to see them.
