      Network-manager-gnome and nm-tray
      Help please
      Network manager from antix 21, network connections and adding network connections are GRAYED-OUT
      I have tried changing

      NetworkManager to manage an interface, that interface must not be configured under /etc/network/interfaces.

      [ubuntu@desktop network] cat interfaces
      # This file describes the network interfaces available on your system
      # and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5).

      # The loopback network interface
      auto lo
      iface lo inet loopback

      Notice that eth0 does not show up; it is managed by NetworkManager. And because of this, it can now be edited with nm-connection-editor, the GUI.

      Of course, NetworkManager must be configured to manage your eth0 connection. Follow Sumant’s solution on this page on how to configure managed=true
      )

      I have tried above with no avail, and running nm-connection-editor with ROOT to no avail as well

        Hi to-the-moon, it worked on antiX19 (Debian buster) to install the network-manager, but Debian removed the service init script for network-manager on Debian bullseye (antiX21).
        Might possible to copy the /etc/init.d/network-manager script from an antiX19 version to antiX21.
        See here

        https://packages.debian.org/buster/amd64/network-manager/filelist

        What are your reasons not to use one of the wifi options offered in antiX21, ceni or connman ?
