not being from Europe probably cant say much.
my understanding was that the companies doing dodgy privacy bypassing were just changing jurastictions to counter it.
ie facebook moving what it feels all relevant data to their business scheme to America, so if you wanted to argue your case, you would need to go to Amercia to have it sorted rather than Europes courts.
