@ile – thanks for more info on the new fluxbox options.

For those that are not 100% geek, like us, here’s what ile said:

The current Fluxbox version allows to set colors for the buttons. We can set, on the config file ~/.fluxbox/overlay , a default color for the buttons with the line:

      toolbar.button.picColor: name_of_color

and also the color for the button, when it’s pressed with the line:

      toolbar.button.pressed.color: name_of_color

You can perform changes to the overlay file and then restart your session, to instantly see their effects.

I have no idea where the accepted list of colors can be consulted,

Edit: Thanks, @ile (please read is post below this one)- The list of accepted colors is available in /etc/X11/rgb.txt
You can consult it running, from the terminal this command: geany /etc/X11/rgb.txt

…so experiment away, if you wish.

      P.

toolbar.button.picColor is the color of your text glyph.

        toolbar.button.picColor: #FFE4B5
        toolbar.button.picColor: moccasin
type into chooser the name, key Return for numbers.
