New packages available

I have ported/forked some MX Linux packages for use in antiX-17. They are in the repos if users want to test them out.

Antix-viewer is a nice tool and is fast, even Facebook works very well with the tool.

Only download is not working here.

I’ll try and get them working for jessie series. (apt-nofify has been sent to the repos, but hasn’t appeared there yet – same with the new kernels)

I think koolstofje is talking about the repo.

apt-get install apt-notifier antix-viewer repo-manager
Reading package lists... Done

I’m not a coder … but apt-notifier seems to have a bug. It intends to suppress “updates available” notifications for backport repositories. But the if statement seems not to work and always suppresses the notification.
BTW: what is a backport repo?
apt-notifier works when checking updates manually on the right mouse menu. And I like it!
